Megan Walsh, Ph.D., joined Edgewood University in July 2026 as Vice President for Academic Affairs and Professor of English. Dr. Walsh is an enthusiastic advocate for student-centered education at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Before joining Edgewood University, Dr. Walsh served as Dean and Campus Director of the University of Maine at Machias where she created new opportunities for online students, increased retention and graduation rates, and developed the first four-year nursing pathway in the region in partnership with the University of Maine at Augusta. She has held teaching and research appointments at the University of Maine in Orono, St. Bonaventure University, and the Ohio State University. Dr. Walsh’s research covers the print and visual culture of the early United States. In 2024 she became an elected member of the American Antiquarian Society.
